Hand brake mechanisms are now shotblasted and painted all pivots greased with copaslip. New pads and springs fitted. One of the locknuts was missing now replaced - ever tried to source a M9 x 1.25 nut? Hens teeth spring to mind! Thanks to DS Workshop - Barnet.

Air filter
This will be coming off again to refit the steering rack and column, suspension spheres etc; but here is the air filter casing cleaned and painted gris rose, just put it in place to keep it out of harms way... I don't want to paint it again after achieving a good finish.

Front camshaft bearing
As the front pulley was off anyway, thought it would be a good idea to replace this bearing. Upon inspection the bearing was okay but it had been spinning in the housing so the new one was put in with Loctite bearing fix.
Looks like the rest of the gearbox casing and bell housing could do with a spruce up! wont go into to much detail with this.

Alternator
Here we have the alternator off the car so a good time to strip and clean. Nothing much needed doing, brushes and bearings were all fine, so after cleaning and painting the bracket it was rebuilt with new grease etc. Should look good on the car.

Voltage regulator
Voltage regulator was looking a bit tatty, so whilst the battery tray was off it had a shot blast of the casing and some new paint, the cover will have to come off again when she's running to adjust the cut in/out voltages, last time I looked it was charging at about 16V. I think that's why the battery boiled last time.

Water pump
The water pump was growling a little bit from the bearing so a good time to replace it. Front camshaft bearing was replaced at the same time, ignition timing scale was cleaned up and bracket painted.

This is hopefully how my DS will end up looking like -- this is a '72 model finished in the same colour, Beige Tholonet.
This is how I brought her home :(
